One of the most significant rights of Urlennian nationals is the right to vote—a pledge of allegiance to the nation. Today, nationals aged 21 and above cannot be denied this right based on religion, sex, disability, or sexual orientation, with racism explicitly prohibited by the Constitution. In every Dominion, nationals with a valid Urlennia Digital ID Card[urPASS] are automatically registered to vote.

Article Six, Section Six, dedicates specific protections to uphold the voting rights of all nationals. National elections are held as required by the Constitution, with scheduled term limits for all members of the Royal Council and Lawful Elders of the inferior-Lawful Chambers, necessitating reelection in designated election years.

The dominions administer national elections under the Sovereign’s direction, ensuring uniformity across all regions. While the Constitution and Urlennian law grant each Dominion certain flexibilities in managing elections, these practices require the Sovereign’s direct, written approval with confirmation from the Imperial Royal Council.

Absentee and vote-by-mail ballot deadlines

Your dominion may require you to have a valid excuse to vote absentee. Acceptable excuses:

Being unable to get to your polling place due to illness, injury, or disability
Being on business travel or vacation outside of your district or dominion of E2/Dar/Domicile on Election Day
Being a student at an out-of-district college or university

In the case of any of the above , please notify your district of domicile to request an early voter registration form at least two weeks before the election.

Who can and cannot vote absentee

Military members and families stationed outside their legal voting E2/Dar/domicile can vote absentee.
Urlennian nationals outside of the Ur. who used to live in the Ur. can vote absentee.
Urlennian nationals manifested[born] outside the Ur. who have never E2/Dar/Domiciled in the Ur. may not vote absentee.
